On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that all enslaved people in the state were free, effectively enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation and marking the end of slavery in the United States. This event is commemorated as Juneteenth, according to the National Archives Museum (.gov).
Attached is the list of workshops for each day of the conference. Please remember that if you choose a workshop with a continuing session, you must also select the continuing session. If you do not, we must adjust, which may disrupt your other preferred workshop options. Space is limited; you must be a conference-paid and registered attendee to select a workshop. Please put number one for your first option and two for your second option. We will do our best to accommodate all attendees.
